Summary

This is the story of a western Marine, which embarks on an Indian merchant vessel, as it was accustomed because of its occupation. Behold, after leaving the infinite calm of the coast, a terrible storm and approaches them, the boat is about to go bust. Only our protagonist (which he does not specify his origin or too much data about him) and a Swedish colleague, they survive the tempest, that leaves the boat ruined and capsize at any time. Both resist the raging surf for at least five days, feeding, albeit with difficulty, leftover food was still there. They advanced rapidly southward until arriving at Australia. Until the sixth day, a gigantic and mysterious ship arrives to meet them. The Swede did not get up to it, but the Marine achieved even hide in navigation instruments that enigmatic ship. He began to realize that no one on the boat noticed his presence, nor passing in front of the sailors, ranging from side to side like mute spectra. He found two strange things, one that the ship had such enormous dimensions, excessive both for military functions, commercial functions or any other purpose. Second, neither the captain realized that carried a stranger, and that all crew appeared to be already very old.

They continued to travel, until arriving at the edges of Antarctic. And there, the author stops writing because he was finished realizing, perhaps too late, he was in a ghost ship, which was bound for the bottom of the ocean.
